If you support family who use MoMo — parents, spouse, adult children — the family add-on extends your cover to them at a fraction of buying separate policies.
What it covers
Each named beneficiary gets the same fraud and theft cover you have on the main plan. Same ceilings, same claim flow, same payout speed. The beneficiary doesn't need their own enrollment — they just need to be added to your policy's beneficiary list, with their MoMo number and a copy of their Ghana Card.
What it costs
Add-on plan Cost Max beneficiaries Basic + family+ GHS 3/mo3 people Plus + family+ GHS 6/mo4 people Premium + family+ GHS 12/mo4 peopleCompare to buying each beneficiary a separate Basic policy at GHS 2/mo: for a household of 4 you'd pay GHS 8/mo + the lost-time of running 4 enrollments. The add-on is cheaper and consolidates billing.
Eligibility
- Beneficiaries must be over 18 (we'll add minor-coverage in 2027)
- Each must have an active MTN MoMo wallet with completed KYC
- Each must have a valid Ghana Card
- Beneficiaries can't simultaneously hold their own LTX policy — the system catches duplicates at add time
How claims work
When a beneficiary's wallet is compromised, they file the claim themselves through any channel (app, WhatsApp, USSD) using their own MoMo number. The system links the claim to your master policy, the payout lands in their wallet (not yours), and you get an SMS notification.
Claim limits stack. Each beneficiary can file independent claims up to the plan's cover ceiling per claim, with no shared annual pool.
Adding a beneficiary
Log in → More ▾ → Family add-on. Hit Activate add-on if you haven't yet, then Add beneficiary. You'll need their MoMo number and the GHA-XXXXXXXXX-X number from their Ghana Card. They get an SMS confirming cover is active — usually within 60 seconds.
